Edward Kelly

Bio:

Mr. Kelly’s practice focuses on criminal appellate law, civil litigation, and judicial analysis.

Mr. Kelly earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Public Justice from the State University of New York at Oswego, where he was actively involved in student governance. He served as the Supreme Court Chief Justice, managing student legal matters and ensuring fair adjudication of campus judicial issues. His leadership roles also included Vice Chair of the Rules and Judiciary Committee and At-Large Senator, reflecting his dedication to both legal and administrative functions. He received his Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law. During his time in law school, Mr. Kelly was a member of the Advocacy Honors Society and participated in the Trial Division. He also contributed as a Conduct Committee Member and engaged in various capacities with the Student Association.

As an Associate Attorney at Roach, Brown, McCarthy & Gruber, P.C., Mr. Kelly leverages his legal research and drafting skills developed through prior positions. Before joining Roach, Brown, McCarthy & Gruber, P.C., Mr. Kelly gained valuable experience as a Law Clerk at D.J. & J.A. Cirando, PLLC, where he drafted criminal appellate briefs and communicated with clients. He also served as a Legal Extern to Honorable David N. Hurd in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York and as a Summer Associate at Nave Law Firm, where he gained hands-on experience in drafting motions and observing court proceedings.

Mr. Kelly’s background includes serving as a Judicial Intern for Honorable Mark W. Pedersen, U.S. Magistrate Judge, where he researched and analyzed pending motions and drafted judicial orders.

Mr. Kelly is admitted to practice in the State of New York. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and is actively involved in professional development and legal education.
